Alvie Estate has traditional properties located amongst farm, fields and woodlands with superb views of the Cairngorm Mountains.
Located only 4 miles south of Aviemore, Alvie can provide peace & quiet or an unsurpassed opportunity for recreation & entertainment. Alvie Estate has been the home of the Williamson family since 1927. The property is a traditional highland estate including farming, forestry, field sports & tourism.

Alvie House Top Flat – Sleeps 10
Alvie House North Wing – Sleeps 8
Balbeag Cottage – Sleeps 8
All cottages have a combination of heating systems. Background heat is provided by electric storage heaters whilst instant heat is provided by panel heaters, open fires and log stoves. Alvie flats have central heating and open fires.
A supply of firewood, kindling and coal is provided, additional fuel can be purchased through the Estate Office.
The properties are provided with most of the following facilities:
Pillows and duvets
Iron and ironing board
All bed linen, kitchen cloths & bath mat (not personal towels)
Broadband WiFi connection (Top Flat has a limited signal)
Cots & highchairs, stairgate & baby bath can be provided on request.
For visitors staying more than one week, a change of linen will be provided each week.
We welcome up to 2 dogs per property for an extra cost of £10 per dog. 3 of the cottages also have fully enclosed gardens
Alvie has 5 self-catering properties sleeping from 4 to 10 guests. This comprises 2 semi self-catering farm cottages sleeping 4 each, 1 detached farm cottage sleeping 6 and 2 apartments within Alvie House, sleeping 8 & 10.
We welcome up to 2 dogs per property for an extra cost of £10 per dog. 3 of the cottages also have fully enclosed gardens.
Everything is provided for your comfort, including Wi-Fi. Heating in the cottages is by way of multi-fuel stoves or open fires, complemented when necessary with electric storage or wall heaters. All you have to bring, apart from yourselves, are towels!
