The Scottish Country Sports Tourism Awards 2026 Terms and Conditions
The Scottish Country Sports Tourism Awards are open to residents and owners of businesses based within the UK and globally, but the nominated business MUST be based within Scotland to be eligible. Entrants must be aged 18 years or older.
BASC, as the owner of Country Sport Scotland, reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and check their identity.
All completed entries for the 2025 Awards must be received by 23:59 on Saturday 23rd May 2026. Any entries received after this date and time will only be considered at the discretion of Country Sport Scotland.
Finalists will be contacted by mid-June 2026. Should Country Sport Scotland be unable to contact finalists within five business days of notification, or should finalists be unable or no longer wish to participate, Country Sport Scotland reserves the right to award a place in the final to an alternative entrant, based on feedback from the independent judging panel. Country Sport Scotland will not be held liable for any failure, delay, or inability to contact finalists.
The prize (trophy and certificate) for each winner must be taken as awarded, and no alternatives will be offered.
All entrants must complete the entry form in full, either on behalf of themselves or their business, or to nominate another individual or business. You must provide the full name and contact email address of the nominee. By submitting an entry, you agree that any information provided (including text, photos, and names of people or businesses) can be stored and reused for promotional purposes for the current and future Awards, to showcase good practice.
Winners will be announced during the Awards Ceremony at the GWCT Scottish Game Fair, taking place on the BASC stand on the afternoon of Friday 3rd July 2026. Finalists will be notified in advance.
Events may occur that require the selection of finalists, winners, or the awards ceremony to be changed due to circumstances beyond the control of Country Sport Scotland. Accordingly, Country Sport Scotland reserves the right to vary or amend the Awards programme and accepts no liability in doing so.
The promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment suffered by any entrant resulting from participation in the Awards or from acceptance of the prize.
This promotion is governed by the laws of Scotland.

Competition Terms & Conditions
Win a Two-Day Winter Deer Stalking Experience at Kirnan Estate
The competition is organised by Country Sport Scotland, a marketing initiative owned and operated by BASC (The British Association for Shooting and Conservation).
1. Eligibility
- Entry is open to UK residents aged 18 years or over.
- Employees of BASC, Country Sport Scotland, Kirnan Estate and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
- By entering, participants confirm they meet the eligibility requirements.
2. How to Enter
To enter the competition, entrants must:
- Visit the Country Sport Scotland stand on the BASC stand at The Game Fair.
- Scan the competition QR code.
- Complete the online entry form.
- Sign up to the Country Sport Scotland newsletter.
- Follow Country Sport Scotland and Kirnan Estate on the social media channels specified on the entry form.
Only one entry per person is permitted.
3. The Prize
The winner will receive a two-day back-to-back winter deer stalking experience for one person at Kirnan Estate, Argyll.
The experience includes the opportunity to stalk a range of species, including female Roe, Sika and Red deer, subject to season, availability and estate management requirements.
The prize:
- Must be taken between 21 October 2026 and 15 February 2027.
- Is subject to dates being mutually agreed between the winner and Kirnan Estate.
- Includes the stalking experience only.
- Does not include accommodation, travel, meals, insurance or any other expenses unless otherwise stated.
- Is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize.
4. Winner Selection
The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received.
The draw will take place after The Game Fair, and the winner will be contacted using the email address provided on the entry form.
If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 14 days, Country Sport Scotland reserves the right to select another winner.
5. Prize Conditions
Kirnan Estate reserves the right to amend or cancel the stalking dates due to weather, deer management requirements, safety considerations or any other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
6. Liability
Country Sport Scotland, BASC and Kirnan Estate accept no responsibility for:
- Travel, accommodation or any additional costs incurred by the winner.
- Loss, damage or injury arising from participation in the competition or use of the prize, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
Participants take part in the stalking experience entirely at their own risk and must comply with all safety instructions provided by Kirnan Estate.
7. Personal Data
By entering this competition, entrants agree that:
- Their personal data will be processed by BASC for the administration of the competition.
- They will be added to the Country Sport Scotland email newsletter. They may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in future emails.
- The winner’s name may be published on the Country Sport Scotland website and social media channels unless they request otherwise.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with BASC’s Privacy Policy.
8. General
- BASC reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions or withdraw the competition at any time where necessary.
- Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
- The promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.
