New funding for Scottish Country Sports Tourism Group

The Scottish Country Sports Tourism Group (SCSTG) has been awarded funding from the VisitScotland ‘Sector and Destination Operational and Market Readiness Fund’.

This fund was established to support pan-Scotland tourism sector groups whose role is critical to the ongoing success of the tourism industry to prepare for a post-COVID-19 environment.

The grant will allow SCSTG to add significant functionality to their website portal including the ability to have the website translated into 103 languages. In addition, social media accounts will be audited and a comprehensive social media strategy developed for the country sports sector.

Andrew Grainger, SCSTG Project Co-ordinator, said: “We are delighted that VisitScotland has recognised the important role that SCSTG will play in the future. The funding also recognises the benefits that these enhancements will make to our website and consequently the promotion of Scotland as a premier destination for country sports tourism.”
