Covid-19 Update – Latest on the easing of restrictions

The First Minister has today announced, at her latest briefing with regard to the easing of lockdown restrictions, that self-contained holiday accommodation such as holiday cottages, with no shared services, will be permitted to open on 3rd July, at which point the 5 mile travel restriction will also be eased.   The tourism sector as a whole is due to open up on 15th July.   This is all contingent on the virus continuing to be suppressed.

With regard to the opening up of Scotland’s country sports, Team SCSTG has been collaborating with BASC and other bodies connected with country sports and has submitted guidelines to the Scottish Tourism Emergency Response Group (STERG); these now form part of their action plan and full details will be published in due course.
