Country Sport Scotland provider is awarded UK Professional Stalker of the Year for the fourth consecutive time
Chris Dalton who runs South Ayrshire Stalking has been awarded UK Professional Stalker of the Year 2022.
UK Pro Stalker of the year is selected from Public nominations and votes with the winner revealed at an awards ceremony at the NEC, the category reflects an outstanding UK-based stalker with all species and parts of the country considered equally, who provide good PR for shooting, always puts a smile on clients’ faces and knows that deer management is about much more than pulling a trigger.
To win this award is an achievement but to win four years in a row is something exceptional.
Chris has been involved in deer management for over 30 years, and around 20 years ago moved to South Ayrshire from his native Yorkshire and set up South Ayrshire Stalking with his wife Anne.
The emphasis has always been to provide training, particularly for novices who want to get into stalking, but he has always promoted ethical and sustainable deer management and is a great ambassador for the sport.
A regular presenter of The Shooting Show and writer for Shooting Times he continues to spread the word not only in Scotland and the rest of the UK but around the globe, he has worked closely with Country Sports Scotland for many years.
