New Book Launch – ‘Robertson’s Guide to Field Sports in Scotland’
SCSTG has teamed up with ‘Scotsman’ writer Alastair Robertson to produce Robertson’s Guide to Field Sports in Scotland. The full colour paperback complements the new SCSTG website and explains: what happens on The Glorious 12th, how to go about stalking a real life Monarch of the Glen and the origins of “doing a Macnab”.
Alastair says: “There are millions of books for field sports enthusiasts. But this is for those who know nothing about stalking, fishing or shooting, yet are curious to know what it is all about. It answers questions like “why do they burn heather?” and “can anyone own a grouse moor ?” – all the sorts of questions holidaymakers ask but to which they seldom get an answer.”
RRP is £10 but members with businesses can order direct from Alastair at £6 a copy plus p&p. Email ajar@btinternet.com. Available (soon!) through Amazon but now at House of Bruar, Waterstones, Inverness and Brodie Country Fare, Forres.
