The Scottish Country Sports Tourism Awards Celebration Dinner was held on Tuesday, 26th November 2024, at Gleneagles Hotel, bringing together key figures from Scotland’s country sports tourism industry to celebrate the exceptional achievements of this year’s award winners.
As people seek new ways to experience country sports, Country Sport Scotland joined SAC Sporting in Aberdeenshire to help more women explore goose shooting and fieldcraft. Over three days, Scott Cruickshank led participants through the essentials of hide building, decoying, and preparing game, inspiring confidence, camaraderie, and a deeper connection to the Scottish countryside.
Gavin Dolman, with years of experience in both the shooting world and the medical field, emphasises the need for preparedness in our sport. His message is clear: a defibrillator on-site isn’t just a precaution; it’s a potential life-saver for anyone who may experience a sudden cardiac event on a shoot.
