Gleneagles
Set In The Heart Of Perthshire
Information
Since opening its doors in June 1924, Gleneagles has been one of Scotland’s most iconic hotels and sporting estates. Set beneath the Ochil Hills, in the heart of Perthshire, it has been the must-go destination for travellers for nearly a century.
Beginning its life in the glamorous age of travel when guests arrived in great style at Gleneagles’ very own train station, the 850-acre estate epitomises the natural beauty for which Scotland is famed. With its Glorious Playground of country pursuits and activities, the hotel is reclaiming its position on the social calendar.
Shooting Experiences at Gleneagles
Our expert instructors can give you a lesson or two in advance and guide you in the etiquette of driven shooting. Every aspect of your day in the hills or woods is cared for by Gleneagles. You will be picked up from the front door of the Hotel and be driven by one of our experienced ex-gamekeepers and resident shooting instructors to the estate.
If you have little or no previous shooting experience, you will probably have taken a lesson or two from our instructors prior to the day of the stalk or shoot, and experienced shots will enjoy the guides’ wealth of local knowledge.
