Situated in the northeast of Scotland, Gordon Castle offers a first-class sporting experience in a stunning Highland setting. The estate provides both wild and driven shooting, with the shoot comprising mixed game but predominantly pheasant. Drives take place from the steep, wooded banks above the River Spey, producing high, fast birds that will provide excellent sport for both experienced and novice guns.
Shooting days are typically arranged for teams of 6 to 8 guns, with the option for fully tailored itineraries. The estate is well-suited to both seasoned sportsmen and those new to the sport, with full guidance provided throughout. Safety and quality of experience are paramount.
A key feature of shooting at Gordon Castle is its emphasis on hospitality and the overall sporting experience. The estate encourages bookings from larger family or friendship groups, offering exclusive use of the Castle, which accommodates up to 16 guests in comfort. Stays are fully catered and include all meals, from hearty breakfasts to traditional elevenses and afternoon tea.
Sporting packages can also be supplemented with a range of non-sporting activities, making Gordon Castle an ideal destination for mixed groups and non-shooting guests. Whether relaxing in the Castle’s grounds, enjoying local experiences, or simply taking in the Highland surroundings, there is something for everyone.
