Minuntion is a family-run estate in South Ayrshire rising either side of the River Stinchar. It offers sporting over 4000 acres of farmland, woodland and open hill.
The pheasant shoot is well known for its stunning scenery, spectacular birds, friendly atmosphere a delicious food. Driven or walked up days can be arranged with bags of up to 300.
Pinclanty Cottage is a charming self-catering cottage which sleeps 5.
This cottage has a traditional country style and spectacular views across the valley. On the ground floor, you’ll find a cosy sitting room with a wood-burning stove and a smart TV, perfect for unwinding after a day out on the hill. There is a dining room and well-equipped kitchen, a snug/office with a double sofa bed, a shower room and a separate toilet. There is also a utility room and boot room. Upstairs are two bedrooms one with a king-size bed and the other with twin beds. The upstairs bathroom has a deep bath and natural, handmade soaps.
All linen is provided and beds ready made up for you and your guests. Housekeeping and catering can also be arranged with sufficient notice if required. We are happy to accept well-behaved dogs, although we do ask that you don’t let them on the furniture or beds and keep them on a lead at all times.
Whether you are looking for tranquil woodland walks, a more energetic climb, tracks and roads for cycling, a place to watch wildlife, a memorable sporting experience or activities for little ones, at Minuntion there is something for everyone.
The estate is also a perfect base from which to explore southwest Scotland. The Upper Stinchar Valley sits within the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere and just on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park. The beaches of South Ayrshire and Galloway, ruined castles, abbeys and ancient burial sites, country spas and world-famous golf courses are all just a short drive away. There is also extensive mountain biking in the Galloway Forest and lush west coast gardens near the sea to visit. Choose between cosy pubs, seaside cafes, world-class restaurants and farm shops bursting with local produce.
