Sitting on the banks of the River Don, The Forbes Arms Hotel, this charming, family-owned hotel is where history and luxury hospitality meet. Our hotel a C-listed, 19th century coaching inn, has undergone an extensive restoration to bring back original features that had been lost over time. Since reopening in 2023, The Forbes Arms Hotel is proud to offer seven individually designed luxury bedrooms, a welcoming riverside restaurant and sunlit outdoor terrace. Our original public bar retains its authentic country pub charm, serving food daily. It is a perfect place to unwind, play pool, darts and warm up by the fire. While our lounge bar offers a cosy, more intimate space to drink or indulge with a traditional afternoon tea.

Our menus are crafted around the finest Scottish produce and change with the seasons. We can create a bespoke menu tailored for any occasion, our traditional afternoons teas are available Monday to Saturday in our lounge bar or restaurant.

Aberdeen International Airport is just a 35-minute drive, with the city centre only 27 miles away. Nearby towns and villages include Huntly, Inverurie, Banchory, Strathdon, Tarland, Aboyne and Ballater are all within easy reach.

We offer a luxurious and tranquil retreat, with seven king bedrooms, our rooms range from four Classic King bedrooms to three Superior King bedrooms. Our front desk is manned 24-hours so we are here to attend to your every need.

All seven bedrooms feature king size beds, ensuite with Arran Aromatic toiletries, large smart TVs, hairdryers and ironing facilities. Cots are available on request. Our welcome trays include Deeside Water, homemade shortbread, the iconic Scottish Tunnocks Tea Cakes and Caramel Wafers, Edinburgh Company Tea and Taylors of Harrogate Coffee.

Additional amenities include free Wi-Fi, free private parking, electric vehicle charging station and a 24-hour front desk. Packed lunches, drying room and rod storage facilities are available.
