Scottish Country Sports Tourism Group appoints PR Agency Tweed Media to promote website members to domestic and international audiances
Specialist PR agency Tweed Media has been appointed by the Scottish Country Sports Tourism Group (SCSTG) to help promote its 138 subscribers to territories outside of Scotland.
Simon and Selena Barr of Tweed Media were awarded the eight-month project due to their unique understanding of marketing and PR within the international fieldsports sector.
The SCSTG acts as a national web portal for sporting providers, fieldsports/angler-friendly accommodation providers and sporting agents. Formed in 2003, the SCSTG’s aim is to realise the potential for country sports tourism through collaborative activity which focuses on improving the customer experience, developing sporting opportunities and raising awareness of Scotland as a key destination.
The SCSTG Project Coordinator, Victoria Brooks commented: “As an industry this is a very exciting time, a chance to move Scotland forward in the sporting world and there is no better time to do it than 2013, which is the ‘Year of Natural Scotland.’ Appointing Tweed Media will give SCSTG’s members the chance to promote their businesses to a much wider audience.”
Tweed Media’s Simon Barr added: “Both Selena and I regularly travel to Scotland to stalk, shoot and fish. As a destination it offers unrivalled sporting opportunities in some of the most dramatic landscape in the UK. We are thrilled to have been given this opportunity and cannot wait to start promoting the world-class sport on offer.”
