My friend and I had lunch at the Boathouse Restaurant last Friday (7 September). Gosh - where to start? A really warm welcome. I think we had the best table in the house (right in front of the balcony doors, looking across a beautiful loch). Great choices on the menu. Wonderful wonderful food (we both had scallops but friend's was for starters, mine a main course) and puddings to die for (hers, a huge meringue (but she managed to finish it :-)) and the most gorgeous chocolate crumble tart with a flapjack (just think of the best chocolate truffle you've ever eaten, and quadruple it). We both agreed it was THE meal of our holiday. The only complaint? It was that it was the last day of our holiday, that we weren't staying longer so could come back again. Definitely next year!!
