Move Away from Lead in ‘Live Quarry’ Shotgun Ammunition

The Scottish Country Sports Tourism Group (SCSTG) fully endorses the announcement made by the main UK countryside organisations to phase out the use of lead and single-use plastics in shotgun ammunition for live quarry shooting within five years.

Sarah Troughton, Chair of SCSTG said ‘Phasing out the use of lead and single use plastics in shotgun ammunition is a forward thinking and responsible step which reinforces the links between shooting and conservation in rural Scotland.’
