Rainbow Trout

As a non-native species, almost all Scotland’s rainbow trout are to be found in our commercially stocked fisheries.

The majority of our commercial fisheries are based within an hour of urban areas, providing good facilities and easy access to instruction and equipment for the non-angler wishing to ‘have a go’ as well as providing great fishing for the seasoned angler. A number of these fisheries provide boats and in most cases some kind of refreshments with a few being attached to other facilities such as restaurants and golf ranges/courses.
