The Castle

Amhuinnsuidhe Castle is a unique venue and one of the finest sporting estates in Scotland. Along with its elegant public rooms and well-appointed bedrooms, the Castle is situated in a magnificent location.
With amazing views to Taransay and the beaches of South Harris and the dramatic landscape forged from rock that is literally billions of years old, you are guaranteed an exhilarating and unforgettable experience

Surrounding Amhuinnsuidhe is a vast, dramatically contrasting landscape. It has been designated both a Special Protection Area and a Site of Special Natural Interest. Guests are free to explore the estate or may want to travel to other parts of the island or explore other islands in the Outer Hebrides.

There is an abundant variety of wildlife and bird watchers are likely to be rewarded with sitings of golden and white tailed eagles. The islands are also home to many arts and crafts shops and studios, some in remote and scenic villages.
